Our Story
Só Luxury
We are a small business based in our hometown of Mission, BC, Canada.
At the heart of Só Luxury are two moms and best friends of over 30 years, Amanda and Shylah. What started as a small business has grown into something that supports not only our own families, but our little work family of five others - made up of family and friends who have become an important part of Só Luxury.
We have always wanted to build a business that reflects what matters to us in real life. That means taking care of the people who help us do what we do. We pay more than the living wage, offer benefits and flexibility and work hard to create a workplace where family and life outside of work are respected.
Our dream was, and still is, to create a business that supports our families, people we care about and our community. Growth matters to us, but what that growth allows us to do matters even more.
We are BIG believers in giving back.
Since 2020, Só Luxury has donated more than $300,000 in cash and in-kind donations directly into our community. Supporting local organizations, families and causes is something we feel strongly about and as our business grows, we want our ability to give back to grow with it.
Mission is our home. It is where we grew up, where we are raising our families and where we chose to build Só Luxury. Being able to create jobs here, work alongside people we love and put money back into the community that has supported us is something we are incredibly proud of.
Products Made for Real Life
We believe that a healthier home starts with the products you use every day.
Our approach to creating products is actually pretty simple: we make things we want to use ourselves.
Our products are created for our own homes and families, Só you can feel confident using them for yours. We care about ingredients. We care about how a product performs. And we care about whether it actually earns a place in your home.
We don't believe choosing better products should mean sacrificing effectiveness. Whether we are developing something for bath, body, skincare or your home, our goal is to create products that are simple to use, thoughtfully made and really, really good at what they're supposed to do.
Some of our products began because we needed a solution in our own homes. That has been part of our story since the very beginning, when Amanda created what would become our Coco Oat Milk Bath for her son's eczema. That one product eventually grew into Bébé de Luxe, and later, Só Luxury.
More than a decade later, that same philosophy still guides us.
Still Small. Still Us.
There are a lot of things about Só Luxury that have changed over the years, but we are still a small, independent business.
There aren't layers of executives or a giant corporate office behind the brand. There is a small team in Mission working together to develop products, manufacture, pack orders, answer questions, solve problems and keep everything moving.
We know the people we work with. We know many of our retailers. We recognize the names of longtime customers. We get excited when someone discovers Coco Oat for the first time, and we never take for granted that people choose to spend their money with us.
Every order supports a Canadian small business, our employees and their families, the other small businesses we work with and our ability to continue giving back to our community.
We're proud of what we've built, but we're even more excited about what we're still building.
